“We’re traveling with children. Are there things for them to do around there?”

This is one of our favorite questions to be asked, so we thought we’d share some of our answers here.

It’s true that you won’t find amusement parks, arcades, big water slides, and the like in this area, but what you will find is something much more valuable.

Having grown up here, it’s the little things that are most memorable to us.  Snow crab “hunts” at night on the beach.  Beach bonfires and roasting marshmallows.  Early morning walks on the beach with mom (or dad) – gathering “treasures” along the way.  These are the moments that your children will never forget.

Your son’s first kayak trip, exploring the bay with Dad.  Your niece’s first beach sunset with her favorite Aunt.  Horseback riding on the beach.  A lighthouse climb with the whole crew.  A morning bike ride along the Loggerhead Run Bike Path, and through St. Joseph Peninsula State Park.  Shelling along the private beaches near Salina’s Park.  The adventures here are endless, and the memories will last a lifetime.
