Clayton’s Adventures on the Gulf

In this exciting new blog series, come along with Clayton as he explores our area, and all of the adventures it has to offer.

Did you know that the St. Joseph Bay State Buffer Preserve has miles and miles of trails you can explore during your visit?  Clayton stopped by their Visitor Center this week, where he learned about the ecological diversity of the Preserve, and explored the treasures displayed within the center.  Where else can you get an up-close look at the skeletal anatomy of the precious Loggerhead Sea Turtle, and view tons of different sea shell types at once?

His favorite part of the visit?  The Observation Tower.  It’s the perfect place to take in the beauty of St. Joseph Bay, and they even provide a telescope for a closer look.

If you’re lucky enough to be visiting during the 2nd Friday of the month, the Preserve offers a tram tour that is a MUST DO!
